   These seemed to have stretched out quite a bit in only one wear. The material is soft and bends and stretches way too much. Also, the buckles for the laces stretch as well which causes them to get hooked up on things. Wish I could return them to be honest. Traditional Columbia hiking boots are much better. These do not compare.

   Problem with lacing up. The tongue does not fit well into the neck of the boot and the lacing goes all the way to the tippy top of the tongue. The result is messy and lumpish. Too bad. I tried a few different lacing schemes, but unfortunate design.

   I find it difficult to find decent shoes, as I have very sensitive feet. I was looking for something that bridged the gap between sneakers in the summer and boots in the winter. The Columbia Trailstorm Peak Mid, both surprised and delighted me. The surprise was how I was able to wear them straight away due to how comfortable they are. Delighted due to their ability to keep my feet warm and how the sole grips in icy cold weather. I have worn for everyday use and also hiking.
   I personally would recommend them, if you are like me and have to literally “break shoes in before they feel comfortable”. Well worth it, and great to find a brand that I will buy again.

   Overall a good boot for me; I might buy the next largest 1/2 size next time to wear with winter sox, but regardless these are keepers and look good enough to wear to work.
