My husband likes them for hanging at the windsurfing beach. Well made and they look nice. The zipper pocket works great for securing car keys. I will purchase another pair but in the longer length.

Overall I like the material. It will keep you cool in the warm days. However, the sizing runs extremely small.

The 36″ were too small although I normally wear a 36″ so I ordered a 40″ and they fit into my criteria of looseness. I bought them to got to China and Tibet in September and I think they will be just fine.

I ordered two pairs as I am tired of heavy shorts that really slip when my pockets are loaded. These are great! The belt is actually functional also. I ordered a size too small and sent back; Zappos got the new pairs to me quickly and as ordered.

Bought them originally for sailing; however, they are so light that I now use them for exercising, as well as everyday use! Have not wear my other shorts since trying these out. Love them!

Very slim fit! Had to return because they were just too slim overall. I’m not overweight, and I can appreciate a slim fit but these were ridiculous. Must be made for a real stick figure.

Warning – these run small. I am a 34 waist and had to have these in 36. But they are totally worth it. They are light and just a nice summer short. The belt that comes with is functional and simple. I use the belt on other shorts as well!

Shorts are just what I wanted, but the length runs short. Ordered an inseam of 12 since
I am 6’4 and the shorts were above my knees. A check showed that inseam was only 11in. It’s to bad since I have a difficult time finding shorts of this quality in my size.

Got it for my husband, he always liked Columbia titanium and Omni light fit. we couldn’t find them anymore. These looked very similar, true to size and washes well (quick dry).
reference: 6’2, 190, 36 fits well and 12 inseam was perfect.

This is the second pair of these shorts I have purchased. They are extremely comfortable, run true to size, and look great. They do not have that big pocket bulky style that a lot of cargo shorts seem to have. They are slim and flattering.

I really love these shorts. I have worn them a lot since gettin them a few weeks ago. I’ve worn them for everything from doing gardening work around my house, to hanging out, to bike rides with my kids.
They are lightweight, comfy, and stay clean regardless of what I’m doing.
However I have one major issue with them. The thread used for the seams on the pockets is incredibly thin. As such I have already had my back right pocket develop a hole in it where it has disconnected from the pants themselves. This is incredibly disappointing as now I’ll need to restitch it myself. It is the pocket I keep my wallet in. I’m very surprised at this as these shorts definitely feel like something that should have more rugged stitching to hold up to the amount of use they can handle.

As others have noted these run small. The 38” waist fits like everything else I own with a 36” waist. They’re lightweight and comfortable once you figure out what size you need.

Happy Holidays everyone! I’m a long time Columbia fan. I have hiking shorts, convertible pants, and shirts just to name a few. Columbia products fit perfect and their sizes are true to fit. I wear them for most occasions, hiking, daytime, and night and weekend gatherings with friends, dinners etc. I even wore them with a sport coat at a nice dinner when I forgot to pack my dress slacks. Equally if not better, Columbia’s Customer Care Team are outstanding. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The Convertible pants and shorts are perfect. Thank you Columbia!
