Nice material and well made. The extra room in the knees might be okay for climbing but makes the pants look extra sloppy around town. They were very long in the leg and short in the rise.

These pants fit my husband very well. He is slim in the hips, so the size we ordered was perfect. I had bought another pair previously and relied on reviews that said to order one size up. That proved to be too large. He now has 3 pairs and we use them for traveling as you can handwash them and they dry quickly. They fit well and look very good on him.

These pants used to be a great travel/hiking pant: lightweight, stain-resistant, quick-drying, and lots of secure pockets. But Columbia ruined them: now they come with “OMNI-SHADE” embossed in shiny reflective letters on the right pant leg. Who in their right mind would want to walk around in pants emblazoned “OMNI-SHADE”? Tried to remove it with an acetone-based stain remover, but no luck. Please, Columbia… go back to one small, tasteful logo per item, please.

Light and durable. Would suggest going a little longer on sizing if you plan to wear with low cut shoes, but with boots they fit very nicely! Not a huge deal. Just something to think about if your considering purchasing.

Great pants, but I have 4 pair of them and always forget to order 1 size up in the waist. The waist of a 34 fits the same as all my other old 33″ pants. Nice and light if you work where you have to wear a gown or uniform over your clothes like I do. Wick sweat nicely and breath well. Water spots dry quickly.

At 6’4, 218 pounds, it is hard to find pants to fit my build. I finally found these, 36×36, that fit great. They are a little snug in the thigh, but too bad. There are two things I recommend adding to make these amazing, the first is more velcro on the right cargo pocket or, better yet, a zipper. The second is add material to both pocket edges to be able to accommodate a knife clip so as to not destroy the pocket.

These pants are nylon so they breath unlike polyester pants which do not. Polyester just causes your legs to sweat.

Have bought several silver ridge products, including cargo, utility, and convertible pants, and a 2.0 long sleeved shirt. I’ve liked them all. The website on my PC screen tends to show slightly darker than they are in person. The website descriptions are a little sparse on the differences.
FYI cargo is regular fit with slightly wider leg openings at the ankle. It has large zipper pocket on left leg and large velco flap pocket on right. Both back pockets have velcro flaps. The convertible and utility are straight fit so leg openings at ankle are a little slimmer. The convertible side pockets are same setup as cargo, but are much higher due to placement of zip off legs at the knee. Both cargo and convertible hand and back pocket linings are polyester webbing material. Both are 100% nylon shell.
The utility is different in several ways; the belt is much wider with larger buckle, The left leg pocket has a vertical zipper facing front. The hand pockets have a tighter webbing, and the back pockets don’t have webbing. The back right pocket doesn’t have a closing or flap. The crotch has several small round vent holes. The material is 100% recycled polyester and has 2x tighter rip-stop weave.
