I bought this pant for more casual wear than outdoor activities. Size 36×32 fit as you would expect.
Good: sizing, comfortable, and love the flexibility.
Not Good: Wrinkles really bad even straight out of the dryer, don’t go out in the rain with these pants or you will be soaked for hours, wet pants let the skin show through – fair warning for those who prefer to go commando.
I will be returning the two pairs I purchased.

If the Brownsmead pants fit you well, look elsewhere. The overall length of these Flex Roc pants are over 3 inches longer than the same size Brownsmead pants (see photo), both in 30 inch inseam. The pant legs are wide enough I could smuggle cantaloupes strapped to my calves. No taper and absurdly long in the legs.
Thanks for discontinuing the Brownsmead pants, Columbia. As a short guy, you no longer make any pants I can wear without hemming.

This pant is true to size and pairs well with button downs and tees. Columbia makes a great product, however, I find that the velcro pockets (the side pocket particularly) seem to be mildly abrasive against the skin while kneeling and sometimes sitting. It’s not a deal breaker since I’m not sensitive to it but I wonder if the design was overlooked by the manufacturer.
I currently rock these in the alpine green, which I love! Hoping to get the same pair in sage when zappos brings them back in stock.

I bought these pants online. I have a size 37 waist. I can only buy these pants in a size 36 or 38. When I shop, sometimes a size 36 works. Other times a size 38 works. In this instance I ordered a 38. I should’ve ordered a 36.
The color is a little darker than what you will see online.
The material is lighter than some utility pants, but thicker that the Rugged Ridge pants.
If the pants fit, I would’ve kept them.

Fit is great and accurate to the chart. I have only worn them twice so far, but they are comfortable and come out of the dryer ready to wear. I’m hoping that they will hold up as well as my other Columbia pants have.

Great pants, fit as expected, light weight but not to tissue paper. One of the best things about them is that they came in odd sizes (ie, 33 for me). Only wish all Columbia pants came in odd sizes

I keep buying these pants because the fit and feels is perfect for me. These are tough pants and they look nice. My job requires me to be Moving around a lot more up-and-down on my knees in an office environment. These pants still last. I would recommend them to anybody indoors or outdoors.

Thank God Columbia still makes these ROC pants! My last two pairs, which I’d rotate between whenever I wasn’t wearing my ROC shorts, lasted over ten years and are still serviceable but maybe just for painting or gardening now that the bottom hems are a bit frayed. My smartphone fits perfectly in the thigh “knife pocket”, a feature I love and I’m so glad that Columbia hasn’t changed. The pants come out of the dryer looking good enough to wear with a sport jacket. And the second, zippered right hip pocket is a safe place to store my wallet when I’m in an unfamiliar crowd.
